Europe
and UFMCC
In 1974 the first European
group to become affiliated to MCC was a London study group called the
'Fellowship of Christ the Liberator'.
Soon after a church in
Birmingham was founded as were groups in Bournemouth and Liverpool.
A church in Copenhagen
developed close links with MCC and soon became affiliated.
Basisgemeinde MCC, Hamburg was
to become the first non-English speaking church to receive a charter by the
denomination.
The Paris church, 'Centre of
Christ the Liberator', founded by the Baptist minister Joseph Douce, voted
to become a part of MCC following his murder. Although they have
chosen to become independent since then, close links remain with all the
European MCC's and through their ministry MCC Provence-Languedoc was born.
